Very Unique, Absolutely Excellent

Bastion is a spectacular game. Above all, it has a great story, and it tells the story with really unique, real-time narration. The games music and visual design is a blend of East Asian, Cowboy, steampunk, and other aesthetics that somehow matches the story perfectly and is beautiful besides.

Bastions gameplay takes skill, and it gives you lots of opportunity to play the way you want to. Theres a wide range of different weapons and upgrades, though most players will probably equip one short-range and one long-range weapon at a time. I have only replayed a bit, so Im not sure about replay value. My one criticism would be that its save system is outdated and a bit annoying.

Last, Bastion plays surprisingly well on my six-year-old MacBook Pro. There was the occasional bit of pausing, but nothing serious. I cant see newer computers having any trouble.

Bastion is definitely worth a look! Ive never seen another game quite like it.
