[ original review: Crash toujours apres 5 secondes. iMac intel 2006.] Edit: jai changé mon avis dune étoile à 4 étoiles - finalement je me suis bien amusé avec ce jeu après le mise à jour. Je suis un peu radin de donner seulement 4 - cétait presquun cinq. Good game play, look and music. Neither too hard nor too easy. "Story" fairly non-sensical, but then do any games have a decent story? Not really the point, is it. A couple of the tracks are so good theyre worth downloading and listening to in their own right (won an award, I believe). Likeable because its a polished, beautifully drawn and imagined world, with an interesting use of appearing and disappearing tiles and well designed tasks. Played it twice, cant imagine Ill play it again but I would buy a Bastion 2. Very good value. I used keyboard and mouse and, though it took a little while, did get used to the key combinations.

its wont work in the second area it crashes

It Crashes not too far into the game. How can I get my money back?

It shows that I havent installed it, even though I have. It crashes when trying to enter the second area everytime. I am running an iMac 27" 2010 model with 12 Gig of RAM. Should be no issues. I would advise anyone with a similar model to not waste their money until this major flaw is fixed.

Great Game. I keep updating my reviews because I want people to support the game-makers. They deserve it! (I do not know them personally.) Theyve fixed the Macbook Air issue in this version. Theyve already fixed the iMac issue on steam, so Id imagine its already been submitted to apple, and is just working its way down the app acceptance/review pipeline. Old Review: UPDATE: The steam version works perfectly. Id imagine the app store version will be updated soon (If not already). Great game, great music, great art, very unique. Works perfectly on both my systems now. Oldest Review: Everything about the game seems amazing and exciting. On my Late 2009 iMac: It freezes when I try to open the second area. On my MacBook Air (2012, i7): Second Area works, but screen goes blank when choosing a certain option while speaking to the stranger. Please Fix! Will re-rate 5 stars if fixed. Game is super fun and cool.

Bastion is a spectacular game. Above all, it has a great story, and it tells the story with really unique, real-time narration. The games music and visual design is a blend of East Asian, Cowboy, steampunk, and other aesthetics that somehow matches the story perfectly and is beautiful besides. Bastions gameplay takes skill, and it gives you lots of opportunity to play the way you want to. Theres a wide range of different weapons and upgrades, though most players will probably equip one short-range and one long-range weapon at a time. I have only replayed a bit, so Im not sure about replay value. My one criticism would be that its save system is outdated and a bit annoying. Last, Bastion plays surprisingly well on my six-year-old MacBook Pro. There was the occasional bit of pausing, but nothing serious. I cant see newer computers having any trouble. Bastion is definitely worth a look! Ive never seen another game quite like it.

Probably one of the best games out there for MAC. The music is excellent, gameplay is great, graphics are gorgeous. Really captures that adventure/rpg type feeling.

When I first bought this game it had a couple of bad reviews because it would crash or go black at some points during the game. It has since been fixed and is now stable and AWESOME. I have spent hours playing this game and I love it. The graphics are beautify, the weapons are diverse and you get to learn the best way to use each weapon in its own training ground. Personally, I skipped the cut scenes but the story still seems fun and elaborate. This game will last a lot longer than any other game with a storyline in this price range. In short, this is a fun, elaborate and long game. Buy it, and enjoy.

I love this game. The graphics and the colours are eyecatching and the gameplay is smooth and flawless. The storyline is somewhat dark and sad and it doesnt overwhelm the gamely. Its basically told in narration style while youre playing. Ive already played it twice on my 11" Macbook Air and Ive recently put it on my 15" Macbook Pro now that its been repaired. I cant wait to play it on a larger screen. Id even recommend this game to people that arent heavy gamers and I got my daughter to download it on her xbox. Shes not much of a gamer but she got hooked in by the demo and wound up buying the full version. She loves it too. Great game. Hightly recommended

Beautiful scenery and intruiging storyline. Its fun to experiment and find your favourite weapon loadouts. I find the scrap musket indispensable for most levels.

As many have posted the game is great. The narration with the story, the graphics and different weapons you unlock. What no one mentioned was the movement control, not a deal breaker as you get used to it and Ill try to be as clear as I can. From the images provided you can see the world is oriented at an angle, what I mean is its in a NE (northeast) to SW (southwest) type of orientation. This is seen in a bunch of games so no issues. Lets move the character, you use WASD keys. W moves you north, S moves you south, A west and D east. So to move around the map you basicaly need to press two buttons. After the first 2 levels you get used to it. This shouldnt put you off, the game is good and more than makes up for this little issue.

Wow, this game is a great find, how its not in the top 10 for games, I dont know. The game play is clean and the landscapes are beautiful. The narrator in the game is perfect, not to much and pretty humourous. I have been playing the game or hours and love it. Bastion 2? I hope so. Great game, keep up the good work! Zach

I really enjoyed it but it finished way too early. I was really into it and suddenly it was all over. You can play it over and over again on harder modes, but there is no real challenge. I would give 5 stars if the game lasted a lot longer. BTW, the story line is ok, but the weapons are really fun.

Desgined by seven people as their very first game, with little marketing and funded with their own money, creating one of the most rewarding six hours of my gaming career. An absolute joy to play, to listen to and to see. Beautiful.

Just a specific internal keynames like "Shell_Confirm" or "LoadHint_Roll" instead of texts or messages displayed. 90% of game text contains absolutely no sense. Game controls, hints, help, equipment upgrades its all about Lorem Ipsum and so on… The game is Ok, but texts is really really big, EPIC FAIL.

Finally, the game arrived on MAC! The game is fantastic, the soundtrack awesome!

I played the demo of this game on xbox and really wanted to pick it up so when I saw that they brought it to Mac I was ecstatic. I have not had the problem that others have had with it going black after the first level and I feel bad for them and hope that it gets fixed soon because it is a game that is worth every penny!

first off, great game. Also a really good update- no more black screen issues. If you change the resolution to the lowest setting, gameplay is much smoother and mouse tracking is acceptable. There are still occasional problems with the cursor "sticking". only thing to do is restart the app. if the jitteryness is an issue, try going into the menu, clicking around, and coming back out. sometimes works, sometimes not. still worth playing even with the occasional glitch.
